Indarctos Arctoides

Indarctos arctoides lived between 7.1 to 12.5 million years ago. These medium-sized carnivorous bears are the oldest known species of the Indarctos genus. Indarctos vireti also shares the record. Indarctos arctoides was smaller than other species of Indarctos. It weighed about 350 pounds.

Indarctos arctoides lived in a variety of areas throughout Western and Central Europe. It’s ancestor, Indarctos atticus, was bigger and lived around 5.3 to 9.5 million years ago. Of course, they are now extinct.
